Our History

2012 – The Beginnings

With the founding of PV-Liebold GmbH, our journey began as a provider of solar cleaning services. Our goal in Germany and neighboring European countries: Maximum performance of photovoltaic systems through efficient cleaning.

2021 – The Step into Automation

Development and market launch of the modular cleaning robot sunbotics. Through its modular system with conversion options from 1.10 meters to 2.50 meters and conversion as a hanging system, up to 4.20 meters, it sets new standards in solar cleaning as a technology leader.

2024 – Sensors & Data Analysis

Our technology portfolio became intelligent: sun-X expanded its developments with sensors, data analysis & AI to determine the ideal cleaning time for solar systems and minimize maintenance costs.

2025 – Autonomous Systems & AI

In 2025, sun-X is developing fully autonomous cleaning and maintenance systems for photovoltaic installations.

The focus is on advancing intelligent sensors and robust robotics – with the goal of operating PV systems efficiently, data-driven and without human intervention worldwide in the long term.
